Recycling
and Conservation Internship Opportunities
Throughout the year, high school and college level non-paid (volunteer)
and paid internship opportunities are available in the Special Operations
Division.
Interns gain valuable work experience by assisting division professionals
and administrative support staff with various programs and projects
in the areas of:
- Solid Waste (trash) & Recycling
- Household Hazardous Waste Management
- Storm Water Pollution Prevention
- Beach Clean-Up
- Storm Drain Stenciling
- Energy Conservation
Interns are typically assigned to activities that promote resource
conservation and environmental protection. On occasion, interns
will represent the City at special events throughout the community
and at school presentations.
