City Council Meetings
The City Council meets regularly on the first four Tuesdays of the month in the Council Chambers, located at 276 Fourth Avenue in Chula Vista. Special Orders and Consent Calendar items are heard beginning at 4:00 p.m., with all other items beginning not earlier than 6:00 p.m.
If you wish to address the City Council in person, you may attend
any meeting, fill out a "Request to Speak" form (available in the
lobby), and submit it to the City Clerk prior to the beginning of
If you wish to address the Council regarding an item appearing
on the agenda, the Mayor will call you
to the podium at the appropriate time.
If the item you wish to address is not on the agenda and is within the Council's jurisdiction, you may speak during "Public Comments." State law generally prohibits the Council from
taking action on any issue not included on the agenda, but, if appropriate,
the Council may refer the matter to staff. Public Comments are limited to three minutes.
