Finance Director

Maria Kachadoorian, the Director of Finance/Treasurer for the City of Chula Vista, joined the City in January 1998. Ms. Kachadoorian has over 15 years of professional experience in Accounting, Internal Auditing and Budgeting. As the Finance Director/Treasurer, Ms. Kachadoorian assists the City Council and the City Manager in maintaining public confidence in the fiscal integrity of the City by accounting for, safeguarding, investing and reporting on the City’s resources in accordance with sound public financial management practices.

Ms. Kachadoorian grew up in Imperial Beach and graduated from Mar Vista High School. She is currently a resident of Chula Vista. She earned her B.S. Degree with an emphasis in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.
