I lost my dog or cat, what should I do? |
Go to the shelter in your jurisdiction. If you have lost your pet in the cities of Chula Vista, Lemon Grove, National City, or Imperial Beach, please go to the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility to look for your pet. If you cannot visit the shelter, owners can search for their pets at www.petharbor.com. All animals at the Animal Care Facility are posted to and updated on this site daily. Only you can identify your lost pet. Please do not rely on shelter staff to do so over the phone. Animals wearing an ID or license will often lose their tags. Once at the shelter, you can fill out a lost or found report and leave a flyer. This is a very important step that should not be missed. It is imperative all owners check the shelter in person or www.petharbor.com at least every three days. Bring a leash with you and any proof of ownership you may have. |
