1. A calm or low noise level is desirable in the Library. It is the responsibility of each person in the Chula Vista Public Library to ensure that his or her actions contribute to maintaining quiet
2. The Library is designed for individual and group study. Individual study carrels are provided
3. Quiet will be maintained in the designated “Quiet Areas”
4. Cell phones should be on the vibrate mode or turned off when in the Library. Use a headset or low voice when talking on a cell phone. Cell phones should not be used in designated “Quiet Areas”
5. Smoking is not permitted in the Library nor within 20-feet of main entrances, exits and operable windows
6. Adults should accompany young children in the adult areas to ensure that quiet is maintained for adult library guests
7. Only service or assistance animals are allowed in the Library unless part of an official Library program.
8. Restrooms may not be used for purposes of bathing or washing clothes
9. All applicable federal, state and municipal laws and ordinances will be enforced.
