In the Library's continuing efforts to "GO GREEN" a print calendar will no longer be available at the branches.
"The library has spent a great deal of effort to reduce printing costs and reduce waste," said Scott Love, the library's Public Relations Manager. As part of this we started e-mailing the Library Buzz newsletter in Sept. 2008, and began sending weekly updates for programs and events," continued Love.
The library also has an online calendar that can be custom searched from home, and allows guests to e-mail reminders to themselves and friends. The online calendar can be accessed HERE.

The Chula Vista Public Library Foundation will have their annual
fundraiser on the evening of April 4. Last year's event was a HUGE hit with those who attended and got to try wines and foods from local eateries, while enjoying music and having an antique evaluated.
This year's event will be bigger and better, and promises fun for everyone. Anyone interested in buying tickets should visit the CVPL Foundation website at cvplfoundation.org.
Proceeds from last year's event were used to purchase over $10,000 in children's and teen books for all three libraries. Anyone interested in finding out more about this event should contact Dency Souval at DencyB@aol.com or (619) 421-9208.
The Civic Center Friends will be having a book sale on Jan. 17 from 10am to 3pm.
