Food For Fines Program~

November 22-December 24

Chula Vista Public Library will accept qualifying food donations in lieu of library fines from November 22-December 24 at all three branches.

Food For FinesEach guest may have up to $10 in fines cleared off of their card. Each "qualifying" item brought in will count towards $1 in fines.

Food For Fines may not be used to pay for lost/damaged materials or collection agency fees.

Qualifying foods are nonperishable (i.e., canned food, dried pasta, grains) food that have not passed the expiration date.

Non-nutritious food (candy, chips, peanuts and soda, etc.) and food in damaged containers can not be accepted.

All donations will benefit South Bay Community Services.

 

Santa to Visit Chula Vista Libraries

No materials will be due during the closures, and fines will not accrue.  Book drops will be open and cleared on a regular basis.
