Musicians and their music will be the theme for the library’s film festival starting May 7, and running through June 25. Films of the “Rock On” Film Festival will be shown on Wednesday nights starting at 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Civic Center Branch, located at 365 F St.

The films in the series will feature various types of music, with an emphasis on Rock and Roll. “There are so many great films about musicians, we thought it was time to highlight some of them,” said Kim Laru, Adult Services Librarian. “With the City’s ‘Music In The Park’ concert series starting in June, we saw this as a fun way to start a summer theme,” continued Laru.

The “Rock On” Film Festival is the second festival for 2008. There will be no film on June 4.The library is planning an exciting foreign film festival for September.
