All Chula Vista Libraries CLOSED Many of the library's services such as Your Account and Articles & Research are available at www.chulavistalibrary.com during closed hours, and items may be renewed online or by calling 619-409-5957.
No materials will be due during the closed days.
Due to budget cuts and staffing reductions, regular editions of the Library Buzz have been discontinued. The library will send out updates on services and programs whenever possible.
Starting July 6, the South Chula Vista and Civic Center Branches regular storytime schedules are changing.

The library is reviewing the possibility of offering a weekly storytime at EastLake Branch, but currently there is no regular scheduled storytimes at EastLake Branch.

Monday, July 6, the three library branches will begin new schedules with a reduced number of days and hours. These changes were made necessary because of the reduction in staff and budget cuts.

The libraries have handouts of the new schedules at the front desk.
Though materials will continue to be borrowed for 21 days, except DVD/videos which have a 5 day checkout, items borrowed from each library will only be due on days the library is open. Materials are not due on Sundays.
For guests who place requests on materials, if the material belongs to a different branch, that material may have a slightly different due date. Staff will be happy to help you if you have any questions about this.
The Summer Reading Program is in full swing, but it is NEVER too late to sign-up! The reading programs are for all kids and teens, and run through August 1. Check the Library website and e-vent calendar for a full list of all the FREE events offered at the libraries.
All participants reading six or more hours will receive rewards. Kids can visit any branch to sign up and get full details. Prizes include many passes to local attraction and much more.
Teens can sign up at www.chulavistalibrary.com and try to win one of the many grand prizes, such as ComicCon tickets, Ipods, movie tickets and more.
