About Service Requests
In order to track and monitor incoming calls, Public Works staff enters and assigns
service requests using the Work Management System (GBA). The
GBA Service Request Module is designed to assist in the gathering
and tracking of information from service requests initiated by either
the public or from within the City. Non-emergency service requests
are assigned to a supervisor or field crew for investigation. Once
the investigation has been completed, a determination is then made
regarding what action should occur.
- A work order will only be assigned
if the work should be performed by City crews. Work orders aren’t
issued for service requests that are found to be the responsibility
of other agencies and/or are private issues. Emergency service
requests are handled as quickly as possible and are dispatched to
the appropriate field crew. If the emergency is not the responsibility
of the Public Works Department, office staff will then
redirect and/or assist the caller in making contact with the appropriate
agency.
- Should you have any questions please call the Public Works Department at (619) 397-6000.
