City of Chula Vista
Public Works Center
1800 Maxwell Road
Office hours: 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday - Friday. Closed on weekends and most holidays.
Please call (619) 397-6197 during business hours if you have any questions.
You have up to 2 days prior to your event to make your reservation. However, you are encouraged to make your reservation as soon as you know your event date because park facility reservations fill up fast, especially during the summer months.
Non-residents of Chula Vista are required to pay double the reservation fee. Security deposit amounts are not doubled. Park facilities that remain unreserved on the day of use can be used on a first come, first served basis at no charge.
Those wishing the resident rates must show proof of residency, such as a driver's license or current utility bill. Full payment of the reservation fee and security deposit must be made at the time the reservation is made.
Important Notice Regarding Refunds:
All refunds for deposits and cancellations will be processed within 3 weeks after the cancellation or event. If you have used a credit card to pay for your park reservation, and are entitled to a refund of your deposit, it will be automatically credited to your account. Please refer to your financial institution for the specific deposit date.
Alcohol Ban: At Eucalyptus, Friendship, Lauderbach, and Memorial Parks, alcohol is not allowed without a permit. When making your Park Reservation, you must let staff know that you will be serving alcohol. This cannot be done online. Park Reservations staff will then stamp your reservation receipt, and this stamp will serve as your permit, and may be checked by a Park Ranger.
WHY AM I PAYING TO USE THE PARK?

You
are not paying to use the park. You are paying to reserve a facility such as a gazebo and picnic area. The City does incur costs associated with providing reservations; therefore, a fee is assessed to cover these expenses. On the morning of your event, a Park Ranger will post a notice on the reserved park facility to help ensure it's availability. On the other hand, all other park facilities that are not reserved are open to the public on a first come, first served basis at no charge.
You can bring your own tables and chairs to set up.
ROHR PARK TRAIN
The Rohr Park train runs the 2nd full weekend
of each month with the exception of September in which it runs on
Labor Day weekend.
