 The
purpose of the Striping & Signing Program is to provide traffic control devices and graffiti removal services to motorist, pedestrians, and residents so they can travel on clearly marked streets and live in a city free of graffiti.
The Street Striping & Signing Section installs and maintains traffic markings and signage throughout the City to promote:
- Safe traffic flow.
- Ensure that City residents and visitors have safe, clear, and continued access throughout the City.
- Reduce the liability of the City.
- Allow enforcement of the traffic laws by the Police Department.
The section is also charged with installing additional traffic control
devices as directed by the City's Traffic Engineer.
