Built in 1955 the Parkway Family Aquatic Center has long been the center of aquatic activity in Chula Vista. The pool is 33 meters by 25 yards and has two one-meter diving boards. This outdoor pool offers a wide variety of programs for youth, adults and senior citizens. Its intimate nature makes it a favorite of lap swimmers.

The water is heated to a comfortable temperature throughout the year. The pool features indoor heated dressing and shower areas.  Lockers are not available.

Swim Lessons

Red Cross certified instructors create a fun learning environment in which students of all ages and abilities can develop a love for aquatics. Parent & Tot and Tiny Tot classes focus on water adjustment and teaching fundamental skills that will facilitate learning more advanced strokes. Students are taught skills through a logical progression of levels that requires building on previously mastered abilities. For this reason, students are not permitted to advance to the next level until they are proficient in all of the skills of the current level. All swimmers in Level 1 to Level 6 are tested on the first day of class to determine their appropriate level. Due to enrollment some levels are combined.
