After School Program
The Chula Vista Recreation Department, in conjunction with the Sweetwater School District, is conducting after school programs at six middle schools in the city. The program is FREE to participants. Activities include: sports, crafts, homework help, games, special events, field trips, specialized classes, and much more.

Basketball
For seventh and eighth grade students at all Middle School After School sites. The program includes instruction on the fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, defensive and offensive strategies and other basketball skills. League beings Saturday April 14 and practices will be held during the After-School Program at individual sites. Games will be held Saturday morning at either a SUHSD gymnasium or Parkway Gymnasium. Players must participate in the first 45 minutes of the afterschool program before starting practice.
