The Therapeutics Recreation Section offers a wide range of activities for persons with developmental disabilities and/or physical disabilities. Activities include dances, sports, exercise, aquatic exercise, day camps, dance classes, field trips and special events. |

| Membership Fee |
|
Participants can pay an optional annual membership fee of $44 for
residents and $56 for nonresidents. Members receive a members T-shirt
and enjoy discounted admission on dances, field trips, classes and
programs. Membership is accepted at any of the programs or may be
mailed to:

Willing to Help?
The Therapeutics Recreation Section provides an excellent opportunity for individuals
to lend a helping hand with various activities and programs. Those
interested in volunteering their time and effort to a very special
group of individuals, call 619-409-5800. Opportunities are available
and will provide invaluable work experience.
Inclusion
The City Of Chula Vista Recreation Department is dedicated to serving
the needs of everyone in the community. Persons with special needs
are encouraged to participate in Department programs and day camps.
A two-week advance notice is required to complete an assessment and to assign an aide if required.
Kids Included Together (KIT)
KIT is a nonprofit organization that is designed to support programs that serve children with disabilities. We are pleased to announce that the City Of Chula Vista Recreation Department has been awarded Alumni status for the upcoming year. This grant will continue to provide Inclusion Aide assistance for children with disabilities. |

Free Style Dance Class Ages 6+
Parkway Community Center 373 Park Way, 6:30-7:30 PM
Come and learn basic hip hop movements to the “top hits” in this 8 week class. It's a fun way to exercise and learn new dance steps that are designed for children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities. Pre-Registration is required.

Intro to Hand Cycling Ages 6-14years
Greg Rogers Elementary School 3:30-5:30 PM
This 5-week introduction to the Hand Cycling program is for children and teens with physical disabilities. It is a great opportunity for participants to learn an adaptive outdoor sport while increasing strength and endurance.
Fee: $17.00 Residents/$21.00 Nonresidents
Free for all Greg Rogers Elementary School Children. The PTA will pay the fee for all Greg Rogers Students to participate in Intro to Hand

Sunday Leisure Bowling
Ages 6 years to Adult
Come join the Sunday Leisure Bowling crowd for our bowling session. Our ten-week bowling session is designed for active children, teens and adults with developmental or physical disabilities. Hosted at Brunswick Premier Lanes 845 Lazo Court.
Sundays 3:30 - 5:30 pm
Fee: $24 Members / $28 Resident / $34 Non-Resident

Futures
Parkway Community Center

The “Futures” wheelchair sports program is geared for children who have permanent physical disabilities. Participants will learn basic ball handling skills, passing and dribbling, improve wheelchair maneuvering and most importantly make new friends.

FREE instruction in basketball basics. Participants will learn ball handling skills, dribbling, passing, shooting and team play.
