Proposition 218 Ballot Proceeding Results for Potential Increase in Assessment for Certain Open Space Districts

During the last few months, residents in certain Open Space Districts were asked to consider an increase in the annual levy assigned to their specific district. Ballots were required to be submitted by the close of the public hearing held on August 7, 2007. These ballots have now been tabulated and the results were presented to City Council on August 14, 2007.

For those districts where the ballot measure was not approved, residents can expect a reduction in service levels and frequency of services. The following services may be affected: mowing, tree trimming, irrigation, plant fertilization, and abatment of litter, pests, weeds and brush. The Open Space Districts below had a majority protest.
