PROPOSED GENERAL PLAN LAND USE ALTERNATIVES
State law requires that a range of alternatives be evaluated through
the General Plan Update process. Following Town Hall Community Workshops
in November, initial General Plan Update land use concepts were
refined into three proposed land use alternatives that will be tested
to compare them based upon such factors as effects on traffic, public
facilities such as parks and schools, the environment and fiscal
soundness. The alternatives will also be compared with the existing
General Plan.
To view the proposed alternatives for different parts of the City
of Chula Vista, click where indicated below. Some of the highlights
of the proposed alternatives are summarized in text boxes for each
map.
Results of the testing, public outreach efforts and other inputs
will be used to develop a preferred alternative. The plan ultimately
recommended is likely to reflect a combination of different parts
of the various land use alternatives.
