Code Enforcement Section
The primary functions of the Code Enforcement Section are to educate
the public in code issues and to work with the citizens to achieve
code compliance. The Code Enforcement Section responds to complaints
from the community. In addition, staff proactively
enforces regulations regarding inoperable vehicles on private property, graffiti on businesses, and garage
sale licenses. Staff also works one Saturday a month ensuring that
residents holding garage sales have the proper Garage Sale Licenses.

The following are issues routinely investigated by Code Enforcement:
Not enforced:
- Property Line disputes
- Drainage between properties
- Blocking of private views
- Tree roots and/or overhanging trees on private property
- Leaves from neighbors' trees
- View Obstructions
- Mold or mildew
- Trash cans left out
- Dust
- Infestations of roaches, ants, spiders or rats
- Dirty carpets
- Termites (unless evidence of major structural damage exists)
- Lack of door/window screens
- Lack of a security lock
- Lack of and/or inoperative refrigerator, stove or other appliance
- Lack of closets or cabinets
