Building Permits

The Permit Section will help you find information about:

• Building permit process
• Building permit fee estimates
• Submittal requirments
  • Climate Zone map
  • Lighting Zone map

In addition, permit staff will:

• Provide over-the-counter review of city standard plans
• Accept plan check submittals
• Issue building permits
• Issue Garage Sale Licenses
• Accept Code Enforcement Inquiry forms
• Research building records

This section distributes month-end Building Division reports and a weekly report each Monday for all permits issued the previous week. These reports are available at the counter for public review.

Hours

Public counter: Monday through Friday from 8:00 - 5:00 *

The counter is closed for staff meetings every Wednesday from 8:00 - 9:00 and the third Friday of every month from 8:30 - 9:30.

* In order to ensure enough processing time, please arrive by 4:45 to pull building permits, submit plans or apply for a business license.
