Parking Management Program

Chula Vista has a Downtown Parking District that was established in 1964 and provides more thatn 1,700 public parking spaces. In 2006, the Redevelopment Agency commissioned a Parking Management Study of the District which led to Council adoption of an Interim Action Plan in November 2007. The Interim Action Plan contained 13 recommendations to improve the management and operations of the district. Redevelopment & Housing staff is working with the community, local business organizations, and residents to develop the Parking District Management Plan, which is expected to be presented to the City Council in summer 2008.
