Fire Station Tours And Public Education
Programs
Fire Station Tours
The
public is invited to visit any one of the nine fire stations. However,
due to training and other scheduled needs, please call 619-691-5055
to make arrangements for fire station tours. Residents and groups
should have the desired date and time selected for a tour before
contacting the Fire Department.
Public Education Presentations
The Chula Vista Fire Department makes special presentations to groups
of citizens on topics such as fire safety, earthquake and disaster
preparedness. In addition, the department provides training in the
use of fire extinguishers. For further information please call 619-691-5055.
School Programs
The Fire Department provides public education in the school system,
based on grade level, in the following formats:
- Puppet shows for pre-school through second grade
- Fire Safety House (Safety Trailer brought to site) first through
third grade
- Classroom presentations

Special Events
An Open House during Fire Prevention Week is conducted in October.
The Open House event, which is always a great success, includes:
- Fire Station Tour and equipment display
- Auto extrication demonstrations with the "Jaws of Life"
- Mini-fire engine rides
- Puppet show
- Other fire safety events
