During
the holidays, the Chula Vista Police Department's Police Activities
League (PAL) works with the Chula Vista Welfare Council and Chula
Vista Elementary School District nurses for the annual toy and food
drive. Last year, PAL delivered food and toys to over 300 families,
which represented close to 900 children. In previous years PAL has
served as many as 1,300 children. Toy donations are accepted starting
in November.
Through this program, PAL reaches out to the community to create
and display positive role models to the children and families served.
