Administrative Services Manager Edward Chew

Fiscal Operations/Research Division consists of the Budget and Analysis Unit as well as the Research and Analysis Unit.

A native of San Diego, Edward Chew III was recruited to the Police Department in May 2002. His career with the City of Chula Vista began in 1991 as an intern for the Human Resources Department. After completing his Bachelors' Degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University, he was hired full time in the Human Resources Department. Additionally, he obtained his Masters' Degree in Business Administration in 1998 from Cal State San Marcos. Over his career Chew has played an active role in the City's budget development process, participated on various negotiation teams, and was instrumental in implementing integrated Payroll/Human Resources software.
