The Family Protection Unit (FPU) in the Chula Vista Police Department
was formed from a grant in 1996.
FPU handles the following types of cases: Domestic Violence; Sexual
Assaults; Crimes Against Children; Physical Elder Abuse; Sex Offender
Registrants; Reports Of Suspected Child Abuse From Child Protective
Service and Reports Of Suspected Elder Abuse From Adult Protective
Service.
