The Family Protection Unit (FPU) in the Chula Vista Police Department was formed from a grant in 1996.

FPU handles the following types of cases: Domestic Violence; Sexual Assaults; Crimes Against Children; Physical Elder Abuse; Sex Offender Registrants; Reports Of Suspected Child Abuse From Child Protective Service and Reports Of Suspected Elder Abuse From Adult Protective Service.

If you have questions about the viewing of the MEGAN'S LAW information, please contact the San Diego County Sheriff's Department at (858) 974-2020. The hours are: Monday-Thursday 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Friday 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
