A community involvement program where residents and business owners partner with law enforcement for the detection and prevention of crime in their communities.
Neighborhood Watch is the longest standing crime prevention program, which was started in the late 1960’s. Neighborhood Watch Programs remain an effective way to partner law enforcement with the community to educate residents using crime prevention techniques and strategies. When a Watch Group is formed and maintained, we can create a win-win situation by taking back our neighborhoods from criminal activity while sending a strong message that crime won’t be tolerated here. Chula Vista Police Department welcomes residents to follow this page, form new groups or revitalize older groups, and join us in the fight against crime.
The Chula Vista Police Department invites you to visit the Chula Vista Neighborhood Watch Face Book page to keep updated with the latest crime prevention strategies, current trends, and great information to share with fellow group members and other neighborhood watch groups. Crime hurts us all and is everybody’s business so we’re building a community of safety and awareness and hoping we can work together, learn from each other and send a message to criminals that crime won’t be tolerated here.
We have linked a page in which visitors will be able to visit and download our handouts related to crime prevention, burglary, personal safety, neighborhood watch and more. Currently the handouts available are as follows:
