7/25/2008 - South Bay high school teacher charged with molesting a minor

On July 9, 2008 School Resource Officers and Detectives from the Chula Vista Police Department Family Protection Unit began investigating a report of a Castle Park High School teacher who was suspected of molesting a female student.

As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained by Chula Vista Family Protection Unit Investigators. On Wednesday morning, July 23rd, the teacher, Armando Rodriguez, age 34, surrendered himself to South Bay Court authorities.

Rodriguez was released from custody on his own recognizance and has a court date in September, 2008. He is charged with 7 counts of 647.6a PC - Annoy/Molest a Minor.
