Chula Vista - On September 24, 2009, Officers from Chula Vista, National City, Coronado, San Diego, and San Diego County conducted a multi-agency DUI Warrant Sweep in the South Bay Region of the County of San Diego. The operation was part of the DUI Prosecution and Awareness Program funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety. During the operation, 4 DUI offenders with outstanding warrants, including one who has been outstanding for over 2 years, were taken into custody.

This was considered a successful operation, both in number of impaired drivers removed from the street and in the amount of public awareness generated. The South Bay Regional law enforcement agencies will be continuing their efforts to keep drivers in our community safe.
