Chula Vista, Calif. – On October 2, 2009 Officers from Chula Vista and California's Department Alcoholic Beverage Control conducted a multi-agency operation at Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre. The operation was part of the Grant Assistance Program funded by the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. During the operation 45 minors were cited for possession of alcohol and two adults were cited for furnishing alcohol to minors.

This was the third operation completed this year under this grant program. The first operation netted 41 alcohol related citations while the second netted 31 alcohol related citations. To date, 118 citations have been issued. This program will continue through June 2010 with a multi-agency approach particularly targeting those that allow minors access to alcohol and serve alcohol to intoxicated patrons. Both agencies are committed to continue their efforts to keep minors in our community safe.
