Chula Vista - Officers from the Chula Vista, National City, Coronado, and San Diego Police Departments, along with the California Highway Patrol and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a “Zero Tolerance” DUI Sobriety Checkpoint on Friday, December 4th, 2009.
This sobriety checkpoint is the ninth in a series of multi-agency DUI enforcement operations aimed at increasing public awareness and decreasing the number of drivers who drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This checkpoint is part of a DUI Education and Awareness grant targeting impaired drivers.
Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
