Post Date:03/20/2017 2:59 PM

LakeFest 2017 is set to be the most rocking event for all ages east of the I-805. The free family event takes place at Mountain Hawk Park in Chula Vista, overlooking Otay Lake, on Saturday, May 6, from 12 to 5 p.m. With live bands, interactive fun, local eats, craft beer and festive booths, the entire family will enjoy this experience.

Dive into the free interactive activities for all ages! Enjoy the view from on top of the rock wall, roll along in the battle balls, test your skills on the BMX obstacle course, or give archery a try.  Exotic foods, artisanal vendors and community organizations round out this unique festival. Peruse neighborhood businesses showcasing their wares and feed your appetite with tasty bites from local eateries and exotic food trucks. The 21 and up crowd can imbibe in samples of over 25 craft beers from local South Bay breweries including Bay Bridge Brewing, Groundswell Brewing, Thr3e Punk Ale Brewing, Novo Brazil Brewing and Resident Brewing.  As the craft beer industry pours into the City of Chula Vista, LakeFest intends to showcase the area’s breweries and quench the thirst of beer enthusiasts.
