HARBORFEST RETURNS TO CHULA VISTA ON AUGUST 19
Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 19, for the fifth annual HarborFest event held in Bayside Park at the Chula Vista Marina. This free, family friendly celebration, held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., includes three stages of live entertainment, engaging educational and interactive exhibits, exciting harbor activities, unique automobiles, arts, crafts, and food and drink!
The region’s best chefs, artisanal spirit makers and local brewers will tempt your taste buds in the Tacos, Spirits and Craft Beer area, sponsored by Millenia. There is a separate entry fee and tickets can be purchased online at www.CVHarborFest.com. Or check out the Champagne, Rose and Wine Tasting. ID is required for alcohol. In addition, there is a Food Truck Alley and other food vendors offering a variety of deliciousness!
Visit the Green Zone and learn about composting, xeriscaping, money-saving solar installation programs, and energy efficient rebates and subsidies. Experience the joy of driving an electric vehicle (EV) at the EV Ride & Drive (valid driver’s license required). Discounted LED light bulbs will also be available to purchase.
Throughout the day, you can groove to the sounds of a variety of great musical talent. The Main Stage will have headliner EVE 6, the reunited Southern California pop-punk band, along with others. Listen to more music at the Latin Beats Stage, sponsored by Seven Mile Casino, or the Community Stage, sponsored by BAE Systems.
Adventure seekers will have a blast in the Extreme Sports Area with giant hamster balls, a parachute rocket, rock climbing, and bungee jumping. Or there’s the Discovery Zone with arts and crafts, free kayaking, paddle board lessons and more. And, be inspired by some of the region’s best artists and creators at the Art in the Park and Maker’s Faire.
Presented by the Port of San Diego, there’s something for everyone at Chula Vista’s HarborFest!
