CHULA VISTA LIBRARY OFFERS FREE TAX ASSISTANCE
Tax time already? Yes it is! To help residents, the Chula Vista Public Library has teamed up with its annual partner, AARP, to offer free tax preparation assistance at two of its branches. Trained AARP volunteers are available at the Civic Center and South Chula Vista libraries on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointments will be taken but a picture ID is required. Special attention will be given to residents over 60 and low and middle income residents. The schedule is as follows:
Monday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Civic Center Branch, 365 F Street, beginning Monday, February 5 through Wednesday, April 11, and Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the South Chula Vista Branch Library, 389 Orange Avenue, Tuesday, February 6 through Thursday, April 12.
In addition, paper copies of most basic State and Federal tax forms and booklets will soon be available at both branch libraries. For more information, visit the Chula Vista Library or call (619) 691-5069.
