9/1/2010 Chula Vista Offices Closed, but Nature Center Open on Labor Day
  The City of Chula Vista offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day. Closures include all city recreation centers, pools and libraries. However, the Nature Center will remain open for the entire three-day weekend normal operating hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

8/18/2010 Sponsor and Support Beautify Chula Vista
  Beautify Chula Vista, the popular neighborhood clean-up event that attracts hundreds of dedicated volunteers, is in need of sponsorship support. This year’s eighth annual event, hosted by Mayor Cheryl Cox and the Chula Vista City Council, in collaboration with I Love a Clean San Diego and Allied Waste Services, is scheduled for Saturday, October 16 from 8 a.m. to noon.

5/6/2010 Historic Agricultural Exhibit Opens June 5
  The days when Chula Vista was mostly lemon groves and farms (1880s-1960s) is gone, but important elements in the city’s agricultural past are being preserved in a new exhibit at the Chula Vista Heritage Museum. The exhibit, opening on June 5, will present a history of farming in the area, including crops, people, historical farm equipment, artifacts and farming practices.
