Consultant Walter Keiser will meet with interested members of the public May 22, to present his findings and discuss the contents of an independent analysis on the economic and fiscal implications of Prop E. The meeting, in the Chula Vista Police Department’s Community Room, begins at 6 p.m.
Keiser’s 24-page report, released to the public today, is available online on the City’s home page at www.chulavistaca.gov (under Featured Focus) or at the City Clerk’s Office in the City Hall lobby.
At a City Council meeting February 5, members of the Legislative Subcommittee recommended that the City Manager hire a consultant to analyze the possible economic impacts of Prop E, the initiative that limits the height of buildings in most areas of Chula Vista. Keiser, Managing Principal of Economic & Planning Systems, Inc. is prepared to answers questions about his findings at the May 22 public meeting.
Keiser is the author of the well-received Independent Financial Review, which provided findings and recommendations addressing a city budget imbalance during 2007.
