|Residents of Southwest Chula Vista can share their priorities and vision for the future at a free family event Saturday, June 21 at the Loma Verde Recreation Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Southwest United in Action Convention will provide a forum for residents who have ideas about improving their neighborhoods. They are invited to share those ideas with elected leaders and key bilingual staff members. The convention is open to the entire family and includes games for children, raffle prizes and light refreshments.
Several City departments, as well as a number of non-profit and service agencies, will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.
The convention is part of the City’s creative approach to developing improvements in neighborhoods that have aging infrastructure and special needs. The Southwest area includes neighborhoods south of L Street to Main and west of I-805 within the Chula Vista city limits.
