|Is your property at risk of foreclosure? Do you and your family know your rights as homeowners? Learn the answers to these questions and more when Attorney J. Alan Enochs hosts a free series of workshops at Chula Vista libraries to help homeowners cope with the pressure of today’s housing market.
Enochs’ first session is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. August 13, at the library’s EastLake branch (1120 EastLake Parkway). A second workshop is slated for 6:30 p.m. August 21, at the South Chula Vista branch ( 389 Orange Avenue).
Enochs, a Chula Vista attorney, will explain how foreclosures work and inform residents about the many scams that target troubled homeowners. Following each presentation, Enochs will be available to answer questions from the audience.
“We think this is a valuable program for our residents,” said Patrice O’Halloran, Program Coordinator for the libraries. “For some time, we’ve been planning to put together a comprehensive workshop for Chula Vistans who are worried about foreclosure. When Mr. Enochs approached us about hosting a series of sessions, we jumped at the opportunity.”
Over the next few months, the foreclosure series will continue with workshops scheduled at the Eastlake branch on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The series, which is free and open to the public, is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Chula Vista Public Library.
