Now Accepting Applications For The Commission On Aging
Are you interested in volunteering to serve your community? If you’re a Chula Vista resident who is 18 years or older, consider serving a four-year term as a member of the City’s Commission on Aging. Currently, two vacancies exist on the commission.

This seven-person panel representing the community is a neutral third party that makes recommendations to the City Council and City Manager on matters affecting seniors in our City. The Commission on Aging works closely with the Recreation Department; promotes new and improved programs for seniors; reviews existing programs and recommends modifications; and provides a forum where senior citizens may voice their concerns and suggestions.

Candidates must be available to attend a monthly meeting scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. at the Norman Park Senior Center Conference Room (270 F Street).

A candidate must be a Chula Vista resident and a registered voter. City employees are not eligible to serve.

Applications are available at the City Clerk’s Office at 276 Fourth Avenue (619) 691-5041, or download and submit an application online by visiting under City Services.

For questions, please contact Jennifer Quijano in the Mayor and Council Offices at or call (619) 691-5044.
