Need a passport? The City of Chula Vista offers convenient Passport Application Services at City Hall by appointment only. Scheduling an appointment is easier than ever! Recently, the City Clerk’s office introduced a new online passport appointment calendar at www.chulavistaca.gov/goto/passport. Now, applicants interested in scheduling a date and time can either sign up online or call the City Clerk’s passport hotline (619) 409-1949.
Due to stepped- up travel restrictions that take effect June 1, 2009, passports will be required for all travelers entering or re-entering the United States, including those visiting Canada and Mexico.
Apply for passports Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. One-stop Passport Application Services are available at a kiosk in the City Hall lobby at 276 Fourth Avenue. Applicants should be prepared with the necessary paperwork before they arrive for their appointment. Pick up an application at the Office of the City Clerk or download the form by visiting www.travel.state.gov.
