|Are you interested in volunteering to serve your community? Mayor Cheryl Cox and the Chula Vista City Council urge residents to get involved in local government by serving on the City of Chula Vista’s Planning Commission.
Currently, there is one vacant seat on the commission, created when former member Pamela Bensoussan was elected to the City Council in November. To apply for the position, candidates must submit an application by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 16.
To be eligible to serve on the Planning Commission, a candidate must be a registered voter of the City of Chula Vista. The term expires June 30, 2009.
City leaders are making important decisions that will shape Chula Vista’s future. Participation by residents is vital to this public process. Make a difference in the way we work and live. There is no greater reward than serving your community.
Those interested in serving on the Planning Commission can pick up an application at the City Clerk’s Office at 276 Fourth Avenue (619) 691-5041, or download an application online by visiting www.chulavistaca.gov.
