EcoKids , a five week environmental club for kids in grades 3 through 6, will begin it’s second session on March 18. Kids will complete fun activities on such topics as carbon footprints, drought living, rainforests, and eating green. There will also be visits from “I Love a Clean San Diego”, and the Chula Vista Nature Center.
“This was such a fun and informative club to run last fall,” said program organizer Diana Ysla. “I look forward to the new events we have planned for this time.” Last session, kids were able to learn about composting, paper making and much more. Sessions will be held at the Civic Center branch (365 F St., 619-691-5069) on Wednesdays at 4 p.m., and at the South Chula Vista branch (389 Orange Ave., 619-585-5755) on Thursdays at 4 p.m.
Please register through the events calendar on www.chulavistalibrary.com; or call your local library. Participants are not required to attend all five sessions.
All library programs are co-sponsored by the Friends of the Chula Vista Public Library, and are free and open to the public.
