Would you like to have a say in the future design process of Southwest Chula Vista? The City of Chula Vista invites residents, business owners and community members to attend and participate in the urban design workshops sponsored by the City’s Redevelopment Agency. The workshops focus on the development of the Palomar Gateway, West Fairfield, Main Street, South Broadway and South Third Avenue districts of the city.
The full-day design workshops give attendees an opportunity to provide input in the Southwest Chula Vista Specific Plan by participating in neighborhood walking assessments, brainstorming sessions and open discussions. Spanish translation and lunch will be provided. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes for the walking tour.
The next workshop will focus on Main Street and will be held on Saturday, July 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Otay Recreation Center, 3554 Main Street. The following workshop, highlighting South Third Avenue and South Broadway districts, is scheduled for Saturday, August 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lauderbach Park Boys & Girls Club, 333 Oxford Street. A workshop featuring the West Fairfield and Palomar Gateway districts was held on July 11.
