Free lunches will be offered this fall for children on a two-week school break from September 28 though October 9. The program is designed for children 1 - 18 years of age and is scheduled at the Parkway Community Center, 373 Park Way.
“Our Recreation Department is pleased to present this important program during the fall break for any child who meets the age requirement,” said Recreation Director Buck Martin. According to the program guidelines, no food can leave the building.
The lunches will be offered first-come, first served on Mondays through Fridays during the following dates and times: September 28 through October 9, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
This Free Lunch Program during the fall break is offered through cooperation between the USDA Healthy Families Program, the Chula Vista Elementary School District and the City of Chula Vista Recreation Department.
