The Chula Vista Nature Center's popular Shark & Ray Experience has added a new dimension. Besides the graceful Leopard sharks and regal rays, the exhibit is now home to over a dozen Sheep crabs. Sheep crabs are found off the coast of San Diego in kelp forests and among rock piles. They are bottom dwelling scavengers with very few natural predators. The sharks and rays they share the exhibit with post no threat to these largs crabs.

The Chula Vista Nature Center is located at 1000 Gunpowder Point Drive, west of the "E" Street exit from I-5. Normal operating hours are Tuesday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Center will be open during the holidays on Dec. 26, 27, 29, 30 and 31, and will resume regular hours beginning January 2.
