The Chula Vista Public Library is now accepting applications for the 2010 Performing and Visual Arts Grants. The application can be found here.
The Performing and Visual Arts Grant Program was established to promote and stimulate the growth of performing, visual and cultural arts within the City of Chula Vista through a grant application process for local performing and visual arts groups and individuals.
These grants are funded through a contract with Live Nation, Inc. which established a process whereby a portion of ticket sales proceeds at Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre are paid annually to the City to be utilizied for a Performing and Visual Arts Fund. The grant application period will end on February 19, 2010. Grants are reviewed and graded by a task force appointed by the Mayor. The grants are typically approved by the City Council in late April or early May.
