Spring Break at the Nature Center
The Chula Vista Nature Center is offering some fun and unique opportunities for children and adults during spring break. In addition to the regular daily events, special sea turtle activities including "Turtle Talks", turtle crafts and several brand new camps and activities are planned. Nature Center members receive a discount on the day camps, art camps and slumber party.

Critters & Crafts: Sea turtle stories, songs and crafts for kids up to 8 years old. Offered daily March 27 through April 11 at 1 p.m. Fee is $2 per child.

Sea Turtle Art Camp: For children ages 6-12, students will use watercolors and other materials to create colored sea turtle art pieces. Two sessions offered Tuesday - Thursday, March 30, 31, April 1 and April 6-8 from 3:30-5 p.m. Cost is $12 per child per day or $33 for the three day session. Art supplies are included.
Sea Turtle Day Camp: Discover everything turtle through games, crafts, hands-on activities, and up close encounters with the Nature Center's sea turtles. Two sessions for children ages 6-12: March 30, 31, April 1 and April 6-8. Both sessions are 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and the fee is $44 per child per day or $122 for a session. Combine with the Art Camp for a full day of fun!

Special Turtle Talk: Join local marine biologist and sea turtle expert, Margie Stinson, as she shares amazing facts and fun sea turtle stories on Thursday, April 1 from 6-8 p.m. Fee is $10 for adults, $5 for kids and free for members.

Sea Turtle Slumber Party: A very special family overnight adventure is planned on April 2 for those age 5 and over at the Nature Center. The event includes hands-on activites, sea turtle stories and crafts, and an up close encounter with sea turtles. Bring your own sleeping bags and pads for a pleasant sleep in the auditorium. A snack and breakfast are included as well as a morning bird walk. Cost: $48 per person; $45 for members.
