The City of Chula Vista’s Southwest Working Group will be discussing the early stages of a Main Street Streetscape Master Plan on May 19. Through prior planning efforts, recommendations for the future Main Street include a unifying visual theme, streets that address the needs of pedestrians, bicyclists, vehicles, and public transportation, more landscaping, and improved bus stops.
The meeting, to be held at the Chula Vista South Branch Library, 389 Orange Avenue, begins at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend. For more information on the Southwest Working Group and future plans for Southwest Chula Vista, go to http://www.chulavistaca.gov/goto/southwest.
