The City of Chula Vista offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, May 31 in observance of Memorial Day.  Closures include all city recreation centers, pools, and libraries.   The Chula Vista Nature Center will be open normal hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Public safety will not be affected by the holiday schedule.  Emergency 9-1-1 calls, and police and fire stations will provide regular daily 24-hour services.  Public Works Department services including streets and sewers will be available on an emergency-only basis.

Trash removal in the city of Chula Vista will be delayed one day.  Those who have collection on Monday will be collected on Tuesday and so forth for the week.   The Household Hazardous Waste facility will operate normally and will  be open on Saturday, May 29 and  Wednesday, June 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
