Chula Vista Offices Closed July 5
 
The City of Chula Vista offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, July 5 in observance of Independence Day. Closures include all city recreation centers, pools, and libraries. The Chula Vista Nature Center will be open normal hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition, all Chula Vista Public Libraries will be closed July 3, 4 and 5 and will re-open on July 6 with a change of operating hours. Please go to www.chulavistalibrary.com or call (619) 691-5069 for the new time schedule.

Please note there will not be fireworks along the Chula Vista bayfront this year. Residents are urged to view fireworks at 9 p.m. at other South Bay locations: Kimball Park in National City, Glorietta Bay in Coronado, and the San Diego Big Bay Fireworks along North San Diego Bay and the Imperial Beach Pier.

Trash removal in the city of Chula Vista will be delayed one day. Those who have collection on Monday will be collected on Tuesday and so forth for the week. The Household Hazardous Waste facility will operate normally and will be open on Saturday, July 3 and Wednesday, July 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
