|Celebrate 100 years of Chula Vista history through historical photos at a new Heritage Museum exhibit opening Thursday, June 16. The opening celebration of “Glimpses of History: Celebrating 100 years of Chula Vista,” will feature five decades of music from 5-7:30 p.m.
Enjoy vintage photos of Chula Vista while listening to the barbershop quartet, Harmony Partners as they sing old-time favorites from the 1920s and 30s. Sing along with the Swing Dames, a trio reminiscent of the Andrews Sisters and music of the 40s. Then join in as Harmony Partners performs once again with the doo-wop hits from the 50s and 60s. Light refreshments will be served.
Regular open hours for the museum, located at 360 Third Avenue, are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12 –4 p.m. and Saturdays 12-3 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, please call (619) 427-8092.
