Chula Vista Public Library is Calling All World Travelers

Visit your local library branch this summer and travel the globe through the summer reading program. Chula Vista Public Library presents “One World, Many Stories.” Explore places from Tasmania to Timbuktu with free weekly programs at both branches: Civic Center, 365 F St., and South Chula Vista, 389 Orange Ave. Programs will also be available this summer at the Otay Ranch Town Center Fireplace Lounge, 2015 Birch Road.

Open to all ages, participants can read for prizes and enjoy crafts, music, dance, stories, and more. Children can keep their reading skills strong, while they laugh along with Krypton Yvonne’s magic or become part of a story in “Literature Comes to Life.” Teens and adults can make Venetian masks or friendship bracelets, learn to loom, enjoy classical guitar and jazz performances, or join a writers group.

Registration is now open for “One World, Many Stories,” which runs through July 15. For a detailed calendar of weekly events, go to www.chulavistalibrary.com.

All summer programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Chula Vista Library. This program made possible in part by a grant through the City of Chula Vista and the Chula Vista Performing & Visual Arts Grant.
